How to Reach Dharamsala

You can reach Dharamshala by air, train, bus and taxi. Airlines fly to Gaggal airport from Delhi. From Gaggal it is an hour journey in Taxi. You can also reach Dharamshala by bus from Delhi; you can make online AC/Volvo bus booking at http://hrtc.gov.in/hrtctickets/ and at ISBT, Delhi. It is twelve to fourteen hours journey by Bus. Otherwise you can go by train to Pathankot from Delhi. It also takes around twelve hours till Pathankot. From Pathankot you can hire a taxi to Dharamshala, which will take two hours. You can go by bus from Pathakot to Dharamshala which will take in three hours.

Summit Venue: Library of Tibetan Works and Archives (LTWA)

LTWA is housed in a beautiful Tibetan-style building within the Gangchen Kyishong complex (Gang-kyi), the seat of the Tibetan Government-in-Exile, halfway up the mountain between lower Dharamsala and McLeod Ganj.

Walk in through the Gang-kyi gate and then to the end of the road where you will find a stupa. From here, a short staircase extends to the left, up to the library.

Accommodations

    We have arranged accommodations for the Summit participants at:
  1. Hotel Dhauladhar: It is on Lower Dharamsala's main road and is easily accessible.
  2. The Summit Venue is 15 minutes drive from here.
  3. Kashmir House: It is located in between Lower Dharamsala and Gangchen Kyishong. The Summit Venue is 10 minutes drive from here.
  4. Hotel Tibet: It is centrally located at Mcloed Ganj, Dharamsala. The Summit Venue is 15 minutes drive from here.

The rooms will be allotted on shared basis and if you have any preference on room sharing, please write to the summit coordinator at gtpsummit2010@gmail.com

Translations

ENVISION have arranged for simultaneous translations of the talks both in; Tibetan to English and English to Tibetan. Please bring your own FMs for the same.
